We know how much of a disappointment not being able to test is going to be for her, let us lift her up in our thoughts and prayers. I am sure getting a carload of Cards will keep her smiling. However in the Rissa fashion, she is still at class with a smile on her face. We can all learn from this child.

Great Class today~ Remember Black Belt papers due next Saturday, uniform orders due this week! Red/Black Belt steps for your level should be typed and added to your paper, If you are not finishing your level turn them in typed with your name and rank~
please bind the Black Belt papers~Kinkos does a great job, they last much longer and take up much less space after almost 30 years, they are more durable.

18 Boxes filled for Operation Christmas Child, Great Job Students

As of Next Thursday (11-7) we will hold a second hour for higher rank students.

I have two great opportunities for Kroells Karate Clubs to do something for our communities
Idea one needs to be finished Saturday~ I thought as a Club we could see how many Operation Christmas Child boxes were could do, I have 10 boxes if you have a shoebox you may use your own. Wrap the outside of your box and lid to make it pretty, but do not wrap the box closed, they need to be checked! I will bring boxes if you want one, and list of Ideas for stuffing them, I know some of the kids love to make those bracelets, we could put one in every box... What do you think! If you want to do one pick up Monday or later, turn in Saturday and we will take a group photo.
Idea #2 LADIES :) Remember the family that I told you about, with seven kids, and Father was seriously hurt in a construction accident, (5" nail into his heart) Their kids were former KKC students, a fundraiser is being done with the Craft/Bake sale on Nov 9th. I thought we could help out with the bake sale, say if 7 of us did 3 dozen cookies, we would have provided 21 doz items for the bake sale~ I thought we could meet for lunch next friday about 1 pm and load it into my car and have a fun filled lunch together too... Ideas of where you want to go to lunch and let me know who plans to bake. You may make what ever you want! Cookies, Bars, Bread, Pies, Candy... crafts also can be donated.
These would both be great ways for KKC to make a difference. Anyone can help, Students, Moms, Dads!

Black Belt Test Saturday Dec 7th

That only gives you two months so plan to be hitting as many classes as you need. This is not a level where good enough counts. The plan was for a late October early November test, but a few of our Red Belts as well as a couple of the Black Belts need the extra time to prepare. The extra time does not mean that those who are still making the final corections will be ready, as always that is up to each and every one of you! However there are a couple of very dedicated students who deserve this test option. If you want to be there the ball is in your court! Make it happen. One class at a time, one corection at a time, as the old saying goes "Again, once more"
If this date does not work out or if more time is needed the test will be moved to December 21, as I have a family obligation on the 14th. Work Work Work.

Try to be better than yourself. ~faulkner Today I tested to 5th Dan Black Belt and fulfilled a goal that I have been working towards for 5 years! Feels great to have finished that chapter of my training, I am ready to see what working on my 6th Dan has to offer. Thankful for all the students and instructors that I am lucky to have in my life, and for the family and friends who always stand beside me along the way!

This week we will be breaking boards in all three locations as a fundraiser to help Ms Tessa compete in Mexico

USA Martial Arts Hall Of Fame

What a honor to have been officially inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall Of Fame as the Leading Female Tae Kwon Do Instructor of the Year, and to have shared the stage with martial arts legends such as Eric Lee, Geoff Meed, Bill "Superfoot" Wallace, Bob Wall, and Victor Moore! I will remember this night forever! Special thank you to my students and family for the special gifts commemorating the special night!
