Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! Reminder there will not be class tomorrow 11/30 in Shakopee.

 They're done! Thank you to everyone who participated all year, and special thanks to everyone who helped with packing boxes today! We raised a total of $1,980 and filled 48 boxes!

 We will be packing the OCC Boxes in first hour this Saturday, 11/23. We will be asking students to assist with the packing during class, with adult students supervising each station. Any parents available to help assemble boxes during the first portion of class will be much appreciated! We will be taking a group photo at the end of class.

Its time to think about Christmas orders! *Special Orders: WARMUPS Embroidered Warmups ($135 for the set, $100 for jacket only) *WARMUP ORDERS DUE MONDAY 11/18 -------------------------------- *Special Orders: GEAR BAGS I still do not have an embroidery price on bags, so I have extended the due date for orders. I will update with price as soon as I have it. Bags will be embroidered with a logo on the front and a name of your choice on the top. I will be placing an order for gear. I will have sheets with me at classes of commonly ordered gear, and will be doing a purchase for Bo staff as well. Advanced students: we will be adding Nunchaku to our weapons class rotation! I do not have many of these to borrow, so you may want to consider getting yourself a pair ($15). *GEAR BAG AND GEAR ORDERS DUE MONDAY 11/25

We have 20 students competing in a Tournament this Saturday! It is hosted by National Taekwondo Institute in Owatonna. Anyone is welcome to come watch, it starts at 10am and goes until roughly 4pm. Address for the tournament: Owatonna Middle School 500 15th St NE Owatonna MN 

 We wrapped up our week of board breaking, and here's what we raised! Reminder our goal for shipping the OCC boxes was $480. Waconia: $195 Belle Plaine: $90 Truth Academy: $90 Shakopee: $200 For a TOTAL: $575 AWESOME job everyone, we will be bringing the items in to pack the boxes on Saturday November 23rd!

 We will be breaking boards in the last 20 minutes of all beginner classes this week! This is optional and costs $5 per board, the money goes towards our Operation Christmas Child boxes. We have purchased all the items for the boxes and are now working towards our goal of $480 for shipping. Tournament students- reminder that this is your opportunity to practice breaking! Any new techniques must be practiced this week, there will be no more breaking until the tournament.

 Today is the last class of the session in Belle Plaine! The cost is $135 for the full set, if you do not want the pants, jacket alone is $100. The warmup will be black with white trim, top is a full zip (and yes Ms Stacy, it has pockets ) It comes in Unisex, Youth and Womens fits, and you can mix and match- will not effect the cost! Jacket is embroidered in 2 locations, large logo on the back and a small design on the front with an option for personalized name underneath. UPDATE: We raised $100 in each of our locations last week! That brought us over our shipping goal and we will start working on items for the additional boxes in October!   Awesome job on Saturday, we raised $100 for shipping our OCC Boxes! We will continue breaking tonight in Waconia as well as Wednesday in Belle Plaine. We did decide to add 12 more boxes for the 10-14 age group, see the updated Amazon list here ! Due to the bulk amounts of our previous purchases we already had many of the items, so we don't have far to go!

 There is construction going on at the loading dock in our Waconia location tonight, and we are not able to use our normal door. We will instead use the bussing door, its on the south side of the building facing the historical building, we pass by it to get to our usual spot! You will see our vehicles out front. Walk through the building to our normal room. As far as I know this is for tonight only, I will update next week. Wednesday is our last class at Jordan!  The Chaska River City Days parade is this Sunday 7/28.  Line up is at the Chaska Government Center parking lot, which will be open and available for parking until 12pm. If you come after that time, you will need to find street parking and walk over. All students must be at the lot and ready by 12:30pm. The parade will start at 1pm sharp. Participating students must be in full uniform with socks and tennis shoes. I will have shirts for the parent volunteers. We didnt get a trailer so the students will be walking the whole mile. Keep that in mind when you decide to participate! Students should not bring anything with them, there will not be space to hold items. I will provide water for during the parade, and freezies for after (:  Please message me with any other questions.

 Jordan did hit our minimum so we will be running this session starting 7/10! Reminder that this will be the last session, starting 8/21 we will be dropping this location and Belle Plaine will change to: 6:00pm-7:00pm: Beginner (White Belt and above) 7:00pm-8:00pm: Advanced (Green Belt and above)

 Reminder- no class tonight in Jordan or Belle Plaine, and no class Saturday as well! Enjoy your break/holiday!

 There are many roads closed due to flooding. County Road 9 and 41 are both closed, so plan your route to Jordan carefully! Best route is probably through Belle Plaine, as 169 is under construction between Jordan and Chaska. Here is an updated link of all closed roads in MN.

 As mentioned in all classes and on the blog schedule, no class today in Jordan or Belle Plaine for Juneteenth!

 We will be doing bo techniques in Waconia tonight, as well as Saturday 6/8. This is for our second hour group- green belts and above! We will do 1 week of board breaking- in all classes from June 10-June 15. Cost is $5 per board.

Students have been asking about gear orders- I will be placing one next week. If you are wanting gear, take a look at the sheets I'll have on display this week in class and get an order form in by Saturday. If you wont be in classes before then and want gear, PM me. We also talked last night in class about weapons training, which we are going to start doing 1-2x a month. This will only be for green belts and above and will take place in second hour classes, starting with this Saturday! I have a few bo's/chucks I can borrow but several students asked me about purchasing their own. There is a big variety in type and looks for bo's, so check out the link below and let me know which one you want and I will add it to my existing order. We broke boards to raise money for our OCC Boxes. Here are the totals: Waconia: $130 Jordan: $45 Belle Plaine: $90 Shakopee: $135 *For a total of $400 this week! AWESOME job, our list is almost done! With another breaking session we can finish it and work on shipping costs! Maybe we need to do more boxes?

 We start over this week in Waconia 4/15 and Shakopee 4/20! Please get on the list before those dates! We will also be board breaking in each class this week. Cost is $5 per board which goes towards our OCC boxes. Tournament group make sure you use this opportunity to practice!

 Several students have asked about Gear. I will be placing an order after class Saturday March 9. If you are wanting gear for the tournament make sure to get your order in! We have scheduled a test for this Saturday, February 3rd in our Shakopee location. We began handing out testing papers last Saturday. If given permission, student must attend first hour class at 9:30am, test begins at 10:30am. Remember: belts are not given, they are EARNED. Keep pushing and improving every day!
